After the incredible success of our Paralympic Games, we're thrilled to announce that it's become an annual event called 'LinkAble Inclusive Games'!
Last year's games were a leap into the unknown for LinkAble, and we were blown away by how they went. Over 100 people attended, enjoying a Boccia Tournament, accessible cycling with Wheels for All, and fun games with Woking Walking Football.
For many attendees, it was their first time trying Boccia — a precision ball sport designed specifically for disabled people — and some now play the sport weekly at our new Boccia Club.
LinkAble Inclusive Games takes place on August 26th, 2025. It offers the opportunity to try accessible sports in a relaxed, friendly environment. The sports are designed to create a level playing field so that everyone, regardless of ability, can enjoy playing together. While there will be a competition element to the day, it's mainly about having fun and getting active with friends!
Who can attend?
Everyone! This event is open to people of all ages, all abilities, disabled and non-disabled. It's about coming together for a brilliant day.
What to expect?
This year's event will be bigger and better, with four sports to try!
On the day, you can join in:
- A Boccia Tournament — a precision ball game where players aim to get their balls closest to a target ball.
- Table Cricket with Surrey Indoor Cricket — an accessible version of cricket played indoors.
- Accessible Cycling with Wheels for All — offering adapted bikes so people of all abilities can experience the joy of cycling.
- Football matches with Woking Walking Football — a slower-paced version of the beautiful game, designed to be inclusive and accessible to all.
The event will once again take place at Woking Sportsbox and we're incredibly grateful to Freedom Leisure for their generous sponsorship.
Save the date and join us for a day of inclusive sports, friendly competition, and lots of fun!
If you can't wait until this event to try Boccia, then come along to our friendly Boccia Club.
