A day to support your physical and mental wellbeing.
Wellbeing Wednesday is a gentle and joyful day where you can practice mindfulness, learn about healthy living and enjoy being out in nature.
The group will engage in outdoor activities such as walks, gardening, boat trips, and gentle exercise sessions. They will also learn how to keep their bodies and minds healthy through cooking activities, mindfulness exercises (led by a specialist mindfulness coach), and relaxation classes.
Mindfulness and relaxation practices are extremely valuable for people with a learning disability and autistic people, offering strategies to manage stress, improve focus, regulate emotions, increase self-awareness, and enhance social skills. Integrating mindfulness into our daily routines can lead to greater resilience and a drastic improvement in wellbeing.
