Head of Finance and Operations

The Head of Finance and Operations (HFO) will play a pivotal role as a key member of LinkAble’s Senior Management Team, working closely with the CEO and the Head of Services and Quality. The HFO will lead the finance function, providing strategic insight, producing accurate financial reports, and pricing new contracts and tenders.

This strategic position will see the successful candidate play a key role in LinkAble’s services, ensuring we deliver sustainable support for people with a learning disability and autistic people — today, tomorrow, and for many years to come.

This role is supported by a Finance Assistant and involves line management of the Recruitment and Retention Manager. Additionally, the HFO will oversee external HR and IT advisors to ensure the organisation operates efficiently and effectively.

  • Hours of work: 4 days (3 office based)
  • Salary: £46,000 pro rata for 4 days (£36,800 actual)

Trusts and Foundations Fundraising Manager

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Trusts and Foundations Fundraising Manager, with a proven track record of success, to secure vital funding for our services for individuals with a learning disability and autistic people. You will play a central role in our charity, responsible for driving forward one of our key income streams. 

The Trusts & Foundations Fundraising Manager will develop a robust pipeline of potential funders and devise a plan to achieve our annual income target of £225,000 from repeat and new funders.  You will research and apply to charitable trusts for grants of varying sizes, including multi-year funding, while maintaining excellent stewardship to encourage repeat donations.  

It’s an exciting time to join us, with innovative services, outcomes monitoring data, case studies, photos and testimonials and some cases for support already drafted. Whilst our priority is to raise funds for our existing services, we have plans for new service developments which will appeal to charitable trusts, corporate foundations and institutional donors (TNLCF).  We have a broad appeal with a range of diverse services from playschemes, social groups for autistic teenagers, arts and drama sessions, family support, employability and independent living skills.

  • Hours: 3 days per week    
  • Salary: £35,000-£40,000 pro rata for 3 days                    
  • Location: Remote role able to travel to Woking for meetings

JD & Person Spec - Grants Fundraising Manager

Minibus driver

To support the running of our busy play and activity sessions for children, young people and adults with learning disabilities by driving one of our two minibuses. Sessions run during the day, after school, in the evenings, at weekends and in school holidays. 

We are looking for a team of drivers with varying availability but in particular school holidays.

Pay: £13.00 per hour
Expected hours: 2 – 12 per week

Key Tasks

  • Drive one of our minibuses to various local community venues such as Bocketts Farm where are children, young people and adults are visiting. Wait at the venue and drive the children back to The Link.
  • Pick up children from local schools to bring them to our centre in Woking.
  • Take adults out to local community venues, either waiting for them or returning at the end of the day.
  • Report any issues with the vehicle or the journey to the Group Leader for the session.
  • Complete vehicle checks.

Required Skills

  • Physically fit and a careful driver who is confident in driving larger vehicles.
  • To take the required minibus drivers training you are required to be over 21, have been driving for 3 years and have a clean driving license. Some vehicles require a D1 license.
  • Be confident interacting with children, young people and adults who have learning disabilities, with support alongside other staff.
  • Committed to safeguarding principles and reporting and to following the Safeguarding Policy.
  • Commitment to equality and diversity and following policies and procedures.
