We support people with learning disabilities to live their happiest lives.
We offer people a chance to learn new skills, to make new friendships and to increase their chances of leading socially inclusive, fulfilled lives.
For many service users and their families life can be hectic and challenging. There are limited opportunities for learning, socialising and gaining work experience. This negatively impacts on their physical and mental health, their relationships and their general wellbeing.
The difference you can make
By leaving a gift to LinkAble in your Will, you have the power to help people with a learning disability live a healthy, happy and independent life as well as offer them the opportunities to achieve their potential.
Whether it’s £50 or £5,000, every gift makes a difference to the futures of children and adults who come to LinkAble for support.
How can I leave a gift for LinkAble?
Making a will and keeping it up to date is important. We recommend you seek legal advice when drawing up or making amendments to an existing will. A solicitor or member of the Institute of Professional Will Writers can provide the best advice on the correct wording.
There are different ways you can leave a gift:
- Pecuniary gifts: A specified sum of money or a percentage of the residue estate
- Specific gifts: Items such as a property, paintings, jewellery
- Residual gifts: are made up of what is left of the estate, or part of the remaining estate.
You don’t have to rewrite your will if you decide to leave a gift to LinkAble. A solicitor can add a codicil to your will that details the changes you wish to make to your original will.
