Squire’s Garden Centre in Woking held a curry and quiz night to raise money for LinkAble.
With good food, live music and exciting raffle prizes, the evening was as enjoyable as it was successful. So impressed by the work of LinkAble, Squire’s Woking has supported us as their chosen charity for two years running!
The night raised an incredible £2,300! We are excited to put this money to good use supporting children and adults with learning disabilities.
So, we would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who purchased tickets and came along to make the night so fun.
Ed Ridgeon, Squire’s Woking Centre Manager, was thrilled with the evening, saying:
“We were so pleased with how the evening went and the tremendous support we received from the community for what was a sell-out event. It was wonderful to see the team’s enthusiasm in the run-up to the evening and for our chosen charity as well as on the night itself.
Not only did we raise a significant amount for LinkAble, but we also had a really entertaining summer’s evening which was enjoyed by over 100 people including our own colleagues, teams from other Squire’s Garden Centres, customers - and even family and friends came along to show their support and enjoy the event for a brilliant cause!
Sarah Squire, Chairman of Squire’s Garden Centres, and a fan of LinkAble said:
“We were delighted with the response to our Woking event and to be able to support such an important local charity as LinkAble - both on the evening and over the past year - as a Charity of the Year.
We are so thankful for the kind support received from Squire’s Garden Centre in Woking. To have such a well-loved company choosing to support a local charity helps to raise our profile and of course provides us with funds we desperately need to continue our vital work with children and adults with learning disabilities.
There are lots of ways for organisations to support our work, it’s a great way to give something back and boost staff morale.
