Between November 28 and December 5, 2023, donations made through our Christmas Challenge will be doubled!
The money raised will help us to make Woking the best place to live with a learning disability. We will do this by providing skills-based and social activities that enable people with learning disabilities and autistic people to live joyful, purpose-driven lives that connect them fully with the local community.
Sue Stockman, our CEO, said,
Social isolation can be a common problem for people with learning disabilities and autistic people. We believe every person has the right to live a full, happy life with purpose and friendship. LinkAble provides a welcoming community where people can be free to be themselves, with room to grow and develop at their own pace. We ask everyone to support our Christmas campaign to help us raise the vital funds needed to continue running our services.
Help us raise £5,000!
Our generous pledgers and champion funders have secured a matching pot of £2,500. So, for every you donate, a pound of the matching pot will be unlocked. This means if we can raise £2,500 in donations during the challenge week, it will be worth £5,000!
We support nearly 200 children, young people, and adults with learning disabilities to make friends, develop skills, stay healthy and build confidence. So, anything you give will have a massive impact on the lives of many people of all ages.
Many people we support have grown up with us—like Erin, who started attending LinkAble at five and is still a regular attendee at 20. Erin's mum, Bridget, told us,
I don't really have the words to describe what LinkAble is to us. It's such a big part of our life. If we were going to move house, one of the main factors in choosing a location would be how close we were to LinkAble. That's how much it means to us.
Donations to LinkAble will be generously matched by The Reed Foundation and LinkAble pledgers, meaning your money can support twice as many children, teens and adults with learning disabilities and autism.
