An exciting new group for adults
'Music and Media' is LinkAble's newest group for adults.
We are thrilled to announce our brand-new Music and Media group, shaped directly by the interests of our Tuesday daytime group. During a recent co-production forum, we explored ideas for future activities, with options like music, animal care, and a wildcard suggestion of media, added by staff! Everyone shared ideas, voted using yes/no cards, and picked two favourites—allowing us to combine activities that sparked the most excitement.
The winning choice? Music and Media! This new group will dive into both worlds, blending music-making with media projects.
Together, we've brainstormed creative ideas like writing a festive song, making a film, starting a podcast, or even interviewing each other, the public, local businesses and residents about topics such as our local environment and favourite hobbies. Each week, group members can take on these hands-on projects, learning skills from playing instruments to sound recording, film production, and editing.
Whether you’re a beginner or looking to build on what you know, Music and Media welcomes adults with a learning disability and autistic adults to express themselves creatively and develop new skills, with support from LinkAble staff every step of the way.
