The LinkAble office has now been closed for over 2 months but LinkAble very much remains open. I am proud of the way LinkAble has adapted to new ways of working. We now have a group of adults meeting virtually every weekday at 2pm enjoying a range of activities. It has been lovely to see this group come together to learn new skills and develop new friendships.
On Saturdays our younger service users are receiving a range of support including Zoom calls and bespoke videos from staff members. We have been keen to support our service users in any way we can, please do not hesitate to contact us if we can be of help. Our Saturday staff have unleashed their creativity to create some fantastic videos and resources –vist LinkAble's website to see what they have been up to.
We are now making plans to begin face to face delivery and to return to working in the office. We are excited to see service users face to face again and are putting protocols in place in line with government guidelines to enable this to happen. We are also making plans for staff to be able to return to working in the office, again following the government guidelines.
LinkAble needs your support more than ever during these unusual times. If you have benefitted from the services we have offering we would be grateful for a payment to our bank account by BACs (sort code 40 47 08, account number 12137054). If you are just impressed with what the charity has achieved in a short space of time then you might wish to make a donation or organise an event or take on a challenge to raise funds.
I look forward to seeing you either face to face and/or virtually in the near future.
Stay safe,
Alison Keeley, CEO
