The New Year has brought new activities at LinkAble and a few things to look forward to in the coming months. After a long time searching we finally found a company who could provide a booking system which would allow us to create a digital version of our current booking process. We should soon be able to start to test the booking system and it should be going live in the next few months. The system will streamline the processes we undertake when booking requests are made and allow families to have access to their booking information remotely, whenever they may require it.
January also saw the launch of two new activities here at LinkAble. We had been looking for a replacement for our keep fit session on a Monday morning and we were pleased to launch ‘Zumba for all’. The Zumba session is already proving popular and it really is suitable everyone. Come along and try it out!
We have also been excited to start a new singing group on a Tuesday evening. The group is called ‘The NoteAbles’. The first session of the group was so successful that we have extended it from being a one hour session to a two hour session. The group will be learning to sing new and classic rock and pop songs. It is a great opportunity to have fun with and the group will accept everyone regardless of their level of singing ability. We are looking forward to The NoteAbles performing at public at events and alongside other LinkAble groups.
2020 also sees the second year of LinkAble running The Accummulator challenge. Two businesses have signed up this year and in a change from last year LinkAble themselves are also taking part. The teams have 50 days to raise as much money as they can using the £50 seed money provided by LinkAble. The winning team will be announced at the end of March.
Finally, if you have started the New Year with a plan to get healthy then why not take on a challenge and fundraise for LinkAble to spur you on. We already have runners, including Kimmy Owens who is taking on the Virgin London Marathon for us, taking part in the Surrey Half on the 8th March, get in touch if you would like to join us.
Thank you all for your continued support of LinkAble. If there is ever any aspect of our work that you would like to hear or find out more about please email, call the office or pop in for a chat.
All the best.
