Brenda InfanteChair

Brenda is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and holds a Masters in Voluntary Sector Management. She has worked in the charity and not-for-profit sector for over 35 years, initially as a regulator and subsequently as a management consultant. Brenda frequently provides interim company secretary cover, leading on regulatory and legal compliance. Brenda has been a supporter of LinkAble for many years having served as Company Secretary and Trustee before becoming Chair of the Trustee Board in 2015.

Jackie Deyong

Jackie Deyong

Jackie has a degree in Economics and is a qualified Chartered Accountant. Her career has involved working with major accountancy firms, major banks and most recently the multinational NGO, Plan International. Jackie became a trustee in 2012, having been acquainted with LinkAble over several years through her daughter who volunteered during her school years and via friends and supporters of the charity with whom she has attended fundraising events. Jackie says that "I have found working with LinkAble and meeting service users one of the most rewarding experiences of my life."

Dr. Rodger Evans

Rodger became a trustee in 2013. He worked for over 30 years for HSE with a wide variety of posts in Scotland and lead on health policy for organic toxic substances at the London HQ, before becoming Area Director for London South and Head of the Construction Sector. He then moved to DTI where he was Head of Construction Strategy. Finally he was Deputy Chief Executive of Constructing Excellence before retiring. He is a governor of Horsell Church of England Junior School.

Debby Fieldus

Debby Fieldus

Debby qualified as a Nursery Nurse and worked at the Wharf Nursery in Godalming with under 5s, specialising in supporting two young children with Down’s Syndrome, before having her own children. For many years Debby and her husband ran their own business. During this time Debby attended various business administration courses and dealt with many of the agencies engaged in the provision of aid to third world countries. One of her own children has a learning disability; Debby is therefore very familiar with the many challenges faced by service users and their families.

Bob Stevens

David Head

David was so inspired by the service users and the charity’s work that he became a Trustee in 2005. Since then he has held the position of Chair and Deputy Chair and remains an active member of the Trustee Board. He has worked in business publishing for more than 35 years and for the past 22 years he has owned a Woking based company that has operations in the UK, the Middle East, Asia and Australia. Through his business and its contacts he regularly raises funds for the charity.

Andrew Karno

Andrew had worked in IT for 35 years before retiring. He has worked in many different industries including aerospace, education and brewing, but has spent the last 18 years working for an investment bank in the City of London. As well as working as a computer hardware engineer and a systems developer, Andrew has spent time as a project and programme manager as well as working in IT Risk and Governance. Andrew recently joined the board of LinkAble after discovering their work via the Woking Association Of Voluntary Services (WAVS).

Jonathan Pressey

Jonathan Pressey

Jonathan has worked for many years with business software companies, helping organisations establish the best way of using modern systems. He is also a Chartered Management Accountant and previously was Finance Director with a UK public company. His youngest son has grown up with learning difficulties and for many years has benefited from LinkAble’s programmes. Jonathan is an enthusiastic advocate of the charity and is determined to ensure that local people continue to benefit from the support and opportunities it provides.

Andrew Milligan

Andrew Milligan

Andrew became a Trustee in 2012 following several years of volunteering with LinkAble's adult choir. the High Notes. He is now retired but trained as an Architect and worked for 22 years as an in-house architect and project manager within the commercial sector. Andrew took a mid life change in 2000 and subsequently retrained as a Teaching Assistant to work with special needs school children. It was at this time that he began volunteering for the Just So Singers, the Surrey Arts special needs junior choir and through this connection, The High Notes. It is hardly surprising that this involvement with performance springs from a lifetime of singing and over 30 years with the Guildford based Occam Singers, where he is a founder member.

Ellen Pirie

Ellen worked in the IT industry for 25 years in a variety of Sales and Marketing roles and more recently has worked as a manager in the NHS doing strategy and planning work for both commissioning and acute hospitals. She has previously been chair of the Bracknell branch of Parkinson’s UK. Following a recent move to Woking, Ellen wanted to get involved in supporting a local charity and joined LinkAble in 2015 as a Trustee.
